Campus-Based/Line Scholarships
ROTC SCHOLARSHIPS ARE BASED SOLEY ON THE STUDENT’S MERITS – NOT FINANCIAL NEED.
Up to three-year campus-based scholarships are available for students who are already enrolled in a college or university with three academic years remaining in order to complete their degree. Typically these are fulltime (12+ credit hours) students already enrolled in ROTC classes and attending a 4-year University or College.
To qualify, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be between ages 17 and 27
- Have a College GPA of at least 2.50
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Score minimum 920 on the SAT (math/verbal) or 19 on the ACT
- Meet physical standards
- Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard)
In order to be competitive, you want to have the following:
- Have a college GPA of 3.0 or higher (4-year University GPA, not Community College)
- Score at least 80 points in all three Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) events and a total score of 250 or higher
- Have no civil convictions or medical issues
- Be DODMERB medically qualified
- Pursue a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) degree, but not required
- Nurses compete for Brigade-level contracting/scholarship slots
