SFC Parrish, Christopher is a native of Goldsboro, North Carolina and he entered the Army in October 2005 as an Infantryman 11B.
He attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Benning, Georgia
SFC Parrish has served in every leadership position from team leader to Platoon Sergeant. SFC Parrish has served as a SAW Gunner, Team Leader, Squad Leader, Bradley Section Leader/ Bradley Commander, Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant and Battalion Operations NCOIC.
His stateside assignments include Fort Benning, Georgia and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. His overseas assignments include Caserma Ederle, Italy. He has deployed to Afghanistan four times and Iraq once.
SFC Parrish’s military education includes Airborne school, Jumpmaster Course, Bradley Leaders Course, Unit Movement Officer Course, Air Movement Officer Course, Javelin Training Devices, Unit Prevention Leader, Drill Sergeant School, Master Resilience Training, SHARP Training, the Basic Leaders Course, the Combative Level 1 Course, the Combat Life Savers Course, the Advance Leaders Course, MRAP Vehicle Course, the Cadre Training, the Basic Instructor Training and the Senior Leader Course. His civilian education includes a high school diploma from Charles B. Aycock High School.
SFC Parrish’s awards and decorations include the Army Commendation medal (7th award with 2 D devices), the Army Achievement award (6th award), the Valorous Unit Award, the Army Good Conduct Medal (5th award), the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal (5 Combat Stars), the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War Terrorism Service Medal, the Non- Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (3rd award), the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon (4th award), the NATO Medal, the Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantry Badge, Parachutist Badge and the Drill Sergeant Badge.
